From construction to testing
You will receive a design from the engineering team and then get to work yourself. You will build, weld, wire and test machinery installations for the food industry. Think of lines used to wash, blanch, cook and cool vegetables, fruit and fish.
No two projects are the same, so your work remains varied. You’ll work with a permanent team of around six colleagues. Everyone knows what needs to be done, and together you’ll ensure the machine is correct and delivered in good order.
You:
- read technical drawings and translate them into practice
- contribute ideas on how things can be made smarter or better
- work with TIG/MIG and laser welding (stainless steel)
- tests machines and records the results
Together, you keep the workplace tidy and safe and deliver quality you can be proud of.
Commissioning, service and maintenance
Do you want to do more than just build? If so, you can – if you’d like – also visit customers abroad.
You will then help with the commissioning of new installations and carry out service and maintenance on site. You will test machines, record results and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
You will be the point of contact for the customer. You will explain things clearly, contribute ideas when technical questions arise and identify areas for improvement. You will also contribute ideas regarding service contracts.

Additional duties
In addition to your regular duties, you may eventually take on extra tasks, depending on your interests. For example:
- checking incoming goods
- assisting in the warehouse
- further development in laser welding

- You can read and apply technical drawings
- You speak and understand English well
- You have experience with stainless steel welding (TIG/MIG); laser welding is an advantage

- The salary ranges from €3.200 to €4.000, depending on education, skills and experience. If you have specific and demonstrable sector knowledge, the salary may be higher.
