Kruitbosch/Cortina – self-directed – ’32-40 hours’
In this job you will have a varied role in a dynamic, fast developing organization. You work on developing, improving and implementing different solutions supporting the business. Alongside several larger ongoing development projects, there are always smaller, short-term projects as well. This means you produce visible results within a short time frame, while also working on comprehensive innovation projects. You will be part of a self-directed team consisting of four software engineers. They work with platforms like Microsoft Dynamics AX and Intershop. Applied technologies are .Net, Java and SQL server.
The company uses SCRUM methodology. Ideas and options for improvement are supplied from within the business. Together with the business owner you decide how these will be used for developing new solutions. In a weekly week start on Mondays, attended by one of the managing directors, decisions will be made about which cases will be handled by which software engineer. In consultation with the business owner you determine the priorities.
Examples of major development projects are a dealer portal, websites, optimization of the order process, app integration and connections to customer and supplier systems. Current topics are mobility and e-bikes. You will communicate with customers, suppliers and co-workers for the coordination of development projects.
In addition to the in-house development projects, there are some projects the company (partially) outsources to an outside agency. For the projects assigned to you, you will collaborate with the software engineers working at our partner's. On a regular basis, you will spend part of your workdays at the outside agency. Both in-house and externally you will collaborate closely with others.
Periodically, a special week will be planned in which the whole team comes together to study the most recent technologies and developments in your field and to discuss how these can be applied within Kruitbosch. This ensures your knowledge is kept up to date and you always work with the most recent technologies.
Depending on your ambitions and talents this fast growing organization offers sufficient opportunities for further growth.
You are properly educated and have an intellectual and professional level at least equivalent to having completed Dutch higher professional education (“HBO”). Knowledge of .Net of Java. Knowledge of Intershop is a plus.
You have strong analytical and communication skills. You are able to translate business requests into practical software solutions, with a focus on practicality and user friendliness. You like the challenge of learning new things and are open and flexible. You enjoy contributing your ideas about new features and subsequently developing these yourself. Your genuine interest in the field ensures that you stay up to date with all the latest developments in software and ICT. You value a good collaboration with colleagues, but are also capable of working independently. You also have a strong customer focus and are service-oriented.
