(Senior) Constructor

‘innovation in bridge building’ – international setting – higher professional education+/academic level

Vacature

In this specialist role you are responsible for the design and calculation of challenging steel bridge constructions. You work in a team with two other experienced constructors. You report directly to the project managers, who also oversee the engineers.

You work on different projects, in different stages, simultaneously. For each project a customized solution is developed, based on existing modular bridge constructions. The engineer makes a 3D design in Inventer or AutoCad, based on the handover document received from the account manager. Subsequently, you calculate and check the design using, amongst others, the infinite element method and RFEM software. You make detailed calculations of bolted and welded connections according to the Eurocode, validate static and dynamic calculations and make fatigue and strength calculations. During this process, you assess the technical options while keeping a focus on practical feasibility and quality.

In addition to your work on current projects, you research, test and improve new and existing detail connections and work on the development and optimization of existing and new modular bridge constructions. You communicate with international suppliers about supplied products and offer technical support to colleagues in the Netherlands and abroad. Also, several times a year, you come on visits to (international) clients, in the role of technical specialist, or to carry out on site technical inspections. However, most of your time will be spent at the offices in Hank.

You are part of a dedicated project organization with well educated professionals. Janson Bridging offers a varied, independent job with a high level of responsibility and freedom and opportunities for self-development. The company offers a suitable salary and benefits in line with your skills and experience.
